Luxmi Churitter

Luxmi works on all aspects of advisory, litigation (Civil, Commercial & Criminal), and arbitration and also regularly appears before all instances of the courts and tribunals.

She specialises and has a keen interest in family law and tax matters that are reviewed before the Assessment Review Committee. She has served as a resource person for the National Women’s Council in the past. She is also often called upon to assist clients in inquiries before the regulatory authorities.

During her stay in the UK, Luxmi worked as a Litigation Officer in the legal department of HSBC Bank PLC in Coventry and Birmingham. She also volunteered at the Citizens Advice Bureau in Coventry where she provided advice on benefits and housing matters.

Previously, she taught at the University of Wolverhampton and is currently a part-time law lecturer at the University of Mauritius and University of Technology, Mauritius. She has over ten years of cumulative teaching experience within local and international universities.

Luxmi holds an LLB with Honours from University of Coventry (UK) and is also an accredited Civil & Commercial Mediator of the ADR Group (UK).

She was called to the Bar of England and Wales by the Honourable Society of Lincoln’s Inn in 2012 and to the Bar of Mauritius in 2013.
